Salon-de-Provence Air Base (BA 701), designated Base Aérienne 701, is a French Air and Space Force installation located near Salon-de-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of southern France. It serves primarily as a military training facility and does not operate scheduled commercial passenger services. The base is best known as the home of the Patrouille de France, the prestigious aerobatic display team of the French Air and Space Force, which performs at air shows across Europe and around the world. The École de l'Air et de l'Espace, France's principal air force officer academy, is also headquartered at BA 701, making it one of the most significant military aviation installations in the country. Because it is a restricted military base, civilian access is limited and the facility has no commercial terminal infrastructure. The base occasionally opens to the public during air shows and official events.
