Paris-Le Bourget International Airport, located northeast of central Paris, is one of the oldest airports in the world and holds a prominent place in aviation history. It served as Paris's main commercial airport until Orly opened, and is now primarily dedicated to business aviation and general aviation traffic. Le Bourget is internationally renowned as the home of the Paris Air Show (Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace), held biennially and considered the world's largest aerospace exhibition. The airport also houses the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace, one of the oldest and most significant aviation museums in the world. While it no longer handles scheduled commercial passenger flights, Le Bourget remains one of the busiest business aviation airports in Europe, particularly during major events and international summits held in the Paris region.
