MCAS New River, officially known as McCutcheon Field, is a United States Marine Corps Air Station located near Jacksonville, North Carolina. It serves as the primary helicopter and tiltrotor base for Marine aircraft stationed on the East Coast, hosting squadrons equipped with CH-53E Super Stallions, MV-22B Ospreys, and UH-1Y Venoms, among other aircraft. The installation is closely associated with nearby Camp Lejeune, one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the world, and supports amphibious assault training and expeditionary operations. As a military airfield, it does not serve commercial passenger traffic and has no civilian terminal facilities.
