Skardu International Airport (IATA: KDU, ICAO: OPSD) is a civil-military airport situated in the Skardu district of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Positioned at an elevation of approximately 7,316 feet (2,230 metres) above sea level, it serves as the primary air link for the remote Baltistan region. The airport is a critical lifeline for residents of and visitors to the Karakoram mountain range, home to K2, the world's second-highest peak. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operates the majority of scheduled services, primarily connecting Skardu with Islamabad and Lahore. The airport has seen growing tourism traffic as trekking and mountaineering expeditions to the Karakoram increase in popularity.
