Grissom Air Reserve Base (IATA: GUS, ICAO: KGUS) is a United States Air Force Reserve installation located near Peru, Indiana. It is home to the 434th Air Refueling Wing, which operates KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft in support of aerial refueling missions worldwide. The base was originally established as Bunker Hill Naval Air Station during World War II and was later transferred to the Air Force. It was renamed in 1968 to honor astronaut and Air Force pilot Virgil 'Gus' Grissom, who was born in nearby Mitchell, Indiana. The base was realigned as an Air Reserve Base in 1994 following the closure of the active-duty wing under the Base Realignment and Closure process. While the installation supports military aviation operations, it does not serve scheduled commercial passenger traffic. A small area of the base is shared with the Grissom Air Museum, which preserves aircraft and the history of the installation.
