Sierra Vista Municipal Airport / Libby Army Air Field (FHU/KFHU) is a joint-use airport located in Sierra Vista, Arizona, serving both civilian passengers and the U.S. Army's Fort Huachuca installation. The facility sits at an elevation of approximately 4,719 feet above sea level in Cochise County, roughly 70 miles southeast of Tucson. The airport is operated jointly by the City of Sierra Vista and the U.S. Army. Commercial air service has been limited over the years, though the airport has periodically attracted regional carriers seeking to connect the community to major hub airports. The military side, Libby Army Air Field, supports rotary-wing and fixed-wing operations tied to Fort Huachuca's intelligence and surveillance mission. Fort Huachuca is home to the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, and the airfield plays a role in supporting unmanned aerial systems training and other military aviation activities associated with the installation.
