Lithuanian military air base with Cold War heritage.

Location
Kėdainiai, Lithuania
Kėdainiai Air Base (ICAO: EYKD) is a military airfield located near the city of Kėdainiai in central Lithuania. It served as a Soviet Air Force installation during the Cold War era and has since been integrated into Lithuania's national defense infrastructure following independence in 1990. The base does not operate commercial passenger services and functions exclusively for military and government aviation purposes. It falls under the authority of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and has been associated with NATO activities since Lithuania joined the alliance in 2004.
