Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS/GOBD) is the primary international airport serving Dakar, the capital of Senegal. Named after Blaise Diagne, the first Black African deputy elected to the French National Assembly, the airport was built to replace the aging and capacity-constrained Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport located closer to the city center. The airport is situated in the Diass area, approximately 47 kilometers southeast of central Dakar, on the Cap-Vert peninsula. Its construction was a major infrastructure project for Senegal, designed to accommodate growing passenger volumes and larger aircraft that the old airport could not efficiently handle. Opened in December 2017, Blaise Diagne International Airport has a modern terminal and is positioned as a hub for West African air travel. It has the capacity to handle millions of passengers annually and features facilities suited to both regional and intercontinental routes.

Blaise Diagne International Airport, is an international airport near the town of Diass in Thiès Region, Senegal, 43 km (27 mi) east of downtown Dakar. It serves as the main airport for Dakar, replacing Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport, which had become too small. It is named after Blaise Diagne, the first black African elected to France's parliament in 1914. Regular flights are operated to destinations across many parts of Africa, as well as to Europe, Macaronesia, the Middle East, the United States, and Canada.
