El Alamein International Airport (IATA: DBB, ICAO: HEAL) is a regional airport located near the city of El Alamein on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, approximately 106 kilometres west of Alexandria. The airport primarily serves the growing tourism and resort development along Egypt's North Coast, including the upscale resort area of El Alamein New City. The airport has undergone expansion and modernisation as part of Egypt's broader infrastructure investment strategy, supporting increased seasonal tourist traffic during summer months. It primarily handles domestic flights and some charter and seasonal international services. El Alamein itself is historically significant as the site of the famous World War II battles of El Alamein in 1942.
