It is situated near the town of Tillé, just outside Beauvais in the Oise department of Hauts-de-France. The airport has grown significantly since the rise of low-cost carriers, with Ryanair establishing it as one of its key French bases. It primarily handles leisure and short-haul traffic across Europe. Despite its marketing association with Paris, the airport's distance from the city centre means travellers face a lengthy transfer.
