King County International Airport, commonly known as Boeing Field, is a public airport located approximately 3 miles south of downtown Seattle, Washington. It serves as a major general aviation, cargo, and business aviation facility for the Seattle metropolitan area, complementing Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The airport has deep historical ties to the Boeing Company, which continues to use the facility for aircraft testing and delivery operations. It is one of the busiest airports in the United States by aircraft operations, handling a high volume of corporate jets, charter flights, cargo carriers, and flight training activity. Boeing Field also hosts the Museum of Flight, one of the largest air and space museums in the world, located on its southern boundary. The airport is owned and operated by King County.
