Concordia Skyway is a small unpaved airstrip located near Concordia Station, a joint French-Italian scientific research base situated on the Antarctic Plateau at an elevation of approximately 3,233 meters (10,607 feet) above sea level. The facility supports logistical operations for the station, which is jointly operated by the French Polar Institute (IPEV) and the Italian National Antarctic Program (PNRA). Due to its extreme altitude and harsh Antarctic climate, flight operations are highly seasonal and restricted to summer months. The airstrip primarily handles cargo and personnel transport in support of scientific research activities, including glaciology, astronomy, and atmospheric studies conducted at Concordia Station.
