British Aerospace 125 series / Hawker/Raytheon 700/800/800XP/850/900

The British Aerospace 125 is a twin-engine business jet that originated with the de Havilland DH.125, which first flew in 1962. The design was progressively developed through numerous series, eventually passing through Hawker Siddeley, British Aerospace, Raytheon, and Hawker Beechcraft ownership, with each generation bringing refined avionics, updated engines, and extended range capabilities. The most commercially significant variants are the 700, 800, 800XP, 850XP, and 900XP series, which together account for the large majority of the approximately 1,700 aircraft built across the family's history. The 800 series introduced Garrett TFE731-5R turbofan engines and a redesigned fuselage cross-section, while the 900XP added winglets and further performance improvements. The type has been widely used by corporations, charter operators, government agencies, and military air arms worldwide. The UK Royal Air Force operated the aircraft as the BAe 125 CC Mk 3 for VIP transport and as the Dominie T.1 for navigator training. Production of new aircraft in the Hawker line effectively ended around 2013 following the bankruptcy of Hawker Beechcraft.
