The Legacy 450 shares its platform with the larger Legacy 500, benefiting from common type rating and similar avionics systems including the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion flight deck. It was designed to compete in the super-midsize and midsize segments of the business aviation market. The aircraft has since been succeeded by the Embraer Praetor 500, which is an enhanced derivative offering improved range and performance.
