The Antonov An-158 is a Ukrainian regional jet developed by Antonov as a stretched variant of the An-148. It seats up to 99 passengers compared to the An-148's 75, offering greater capacity for short- to medium-haul routes while retaining the same basic airframe and systems.
The aircraft is powered by two Progress D-436-148 turbofan engines and features a high-wing configuration, which allows operations from poorly prepared airstrips. Development was conducted jointly by Antonov and its partners in Ukraine and Russia.
Production and further development of the An-158 have been significantly disrupted by the political and military conflict between Ukraine and Russia that began in 2014, severely limiting manufacturing and operator support. Only a small number of aircraft entered service, primarily with Cuban carrier Cubana de Aviación.
Notable operators
Cubana de Aviación of Cuba is the primary known operator of the An-158.

Encyclopaedia
The Antonov An-148 is a regional jet designed and primarily built by the Ukrainian aerospace manufacturer Antonov of Ukraine. Between 2009 and 2018, the An-148 was also being produced on a second production line in Russia by Voronezh Aircraft Production Association; however, production of the type in Russia was discontinued as a consequence of the wider souring political relations between Ukraine and Russia. While the last Russian-built An-148 was completed in October 2018, Ukraine continued to both produce and develop the type.
