Airbus A320neo

The Airbus A320neo (New Engine Option) is an enhanced variant of the best-selling A320 family, introduced to improve fuel efficiency and reduce operating costs. It features either CFM International LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engines, along with new sharklet wingtip devices, delivering roughly 15–20% better fuel efficiency per seat compared to the original A320ceo. The aircraft shares the same fuselage cross-section as the classic A320, seating typically 150–180 passengers in a two-class layout, and retains the type rating commonality that operators prize. Its range of approximately 6,300 km makes it well suited for short- to medium-haul routes across domestic and continental networks. Since entering service in 2016, the A320neo family has become one of the fastest-selling commercial aircraft in history, amassing thousands of orders from carriers worldwide. It forms the backbone of the broader A320neo family, which also includes the smaller A319neo and larger A321neo.
